Life Plan Program

The LifePlan (LP) program is a comprehensive initiative focused on enhancing clarity. It assists participants in precisely defining their life aspirations, subsequently translating them into a concise and well-defined plan that can be effectively implemented and monitored within predetermined timeframes. This aspect holds particular significance for survivors of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), as they often experience a perceived "fogginess" stemming from acquired survival skills and a persistent tendency to prioritise the needs of others over their own. The process of clarifying, setting, diligently pursuing, and ultimately achieving these goals serves as a potent tool for empowerment.

What’s In Your Hand Program

The What's In Your Hand (WIYH) program is a financial empowerment initiative that employs a "bootstrap" approach to empower survivors, leveraging their existing resources to propel them towards financial freedom. The program aims to empower participants to make optimal decisions ensuring the safety and well-being of both their families and themselves. By harnessing their current assets and capabilities, the WIYH program equips survivors with the necessary tools and knowledge to achieve a position of financial stability and independence.

Counselling Psychology Services

This component of the process is vital as it enables survivors to address the trauma resulting from the abuse they have endured, while also exploring their belief systems that may have influenced their involvement in and continuation of abusive relationships. Through this transformative process, survivors gain the ability to question their thoughts, establish boundaries that ensure their safety, and ultimately experience a sense of freedom and autonomy in their lives. It is important to approach this journey with empathy, recognising the complex factors that contribute to an individual's experiences and focusing on their empowerment rather than placing blame or shaming.

Sisters Keepers Meetings

The Sisters Keepers (SK) program comprises our weekly support group meetings, which serve as an invaluable source of support for survivors at various stages of their healing journey. The name itself reinforces the principles of accountability and peer support among participants. These meetings provide a safe and nurturing environment, addressing the critical need for community that often eludes survivors in their lives. Within these gatherings, individuals can unburden themselves, acquire knowledge, and focus on specific areas of personal growth, thereby facilitating their path towards complete healing. ‘You cannot heal a wound by saying it is not there.’ Jeremiah 6: 14.
